The purpose of the association is to spread knowledge of Aicardi-Goutières syndrome, to provide sufferers from this disease and their families with support through contacts with doctors and health organisations internationally; its purpose is also to promote and support research in the area of problems specifically linked with Aicardi-Goutières syndrome.
To this end, the association may, among other things, organise conferences, symposia and refresher courses, publish magazines and books, create study groups and carry out scientific and operational research projects at international level, and promote meetings with and between families.
